NH Rapid Response Access Point: Call or text 1-833-710-6477 - If you or someone you care about is experiencing a mental health and/or substance use crisis, you can call and speak to trained and caring clinical staff. Crisis operators can: Dispatch mobile teams to support you in-person or by video; Connect you with a crisis center; setup a same-day/next-day access appointment with your local Community Mental Health Center.
Crisis Text Line: Free, 24/7 support for those in crisis. Text “Home” to 741741 from anywhere in the US and you will be connected with a trained Crisis Counselor.
The Trevor Project: Call 1-866-488-7386. The Trevor Project is a national 24-hour, toll-free confidential suicide hotline for LGBTQ youth. If you are a young person in crisis, feeling suicidal, or in need of a safe and judgment-free place to talk, please call to connect with a trained counselor.
Trans Lifeline: Call 1-877-565-8860 for a hotline staffed by transgender people for transgender people. (They will not contact law enforcement without your consent.)
The LGBT National Help Center: Call 1-888-843-4564. Open to callers of all ages. Provides peer-counseling, information, and local resources.
National Eating Disorders Association Helpline: Call 800-931-2237 for support.
The National Maternal Mental Health Hotline: Call or text 1-833-TLC-MAMA (1-833-852-6262). Provides free 24/7 confidential support, resources and referrals to pregnant and postpartum mothers facing mental health challenges (and their loved ones).
National Domestic Violence Hotline: Call 800-799-7233 or chat live on their website. Advocates can provide support, crisis intervention, education about domestic violence, and community resources and referrals.
Substance Abuse National Helpline (SAMHSA): Call 800-662-4357 to access SAMHSA’s confidential, free, 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year, information service, in English and Spanish, for individuals and family members facing mental and/or substance use disorders. This service provides referrals to local treatment facilities, support groups, and community-based organizations.
